If you must know, I (Jeffrey Hill) am a writer for hire and I have a degree in Journalism and Creative Writing from Rowan University, where I graduated cum laude in December of 2007. I was editor-in-chief for my university's humor/satire magazine, Venue. I released five parody issues: a communist student handbook, a disaster news spoof, a japanese pop-culture rag, a mock of the 1920s Life magazines and the 76-page Venue: The Movie, which was the longest issue in the magazine's 42-year history. That issue compiled three parody issues in itself: a fake Rowan University PR section, a Nintendo Power parody and Venue for Kids!, which was styled after Highlights for Children.

After graduating, I was hired by Next American City magazine as their web editor - responsible for directing and coordinating their exclusive online content. I am also a contributing writer to their national quarterly magazine. NAC is a non-profit organization dedicated to a positive change in our cities. It was started by Seth Brown and Adam Gordon in 2003, and as far as I know, I am the organization's first-ever web editor. In February of 2008, Next American City's online blog "The Street," was nominated for Best Social Issues/Advocacy Blog alongside Treehugger.com. Today, our blog (now called "The Daily Report") features material from former writers of Village Voice, Black Enterprise and The Philadelphia Inquirer among others.

I'm a musician in my spare time, having worked with R.E.M.producer Mitch Easter and bassist Derek Almstead (Of Montreal, Circulatory System, Elf Power). I am currently a member of the band, Small Town Fires, with a former members of Goodnight or Sleep and Menu.

Future projects include my very own comedy/satire website and magazine, Prick, which will celebrate and embrace America's luxurious living fantasy. I am also working on writing my first novel. All I can say about that project is a lot of the main characters explode suddenly.
